Problems resolved in online filing, assures CBDT president


The chairman of the Central Commission for Direct Taxes (CBDT) said that all issues and issues with online filing of tax returns (RTI) have been resolved.

“All the glitches and setbacks regarding filing income tax returns have been resolved. On average 2.5 lakh of tax returns are filed per day, ”CBDT President JB Mohapatra said on Sunday.

Inaugurating the Taxpayers’ Fair at IITF 2021 at Pragati Maidan in Delhi, Mohapatra said that “about 2.5 crore of RTI has been filed and by December we expect the numbers to reach 4 crore” .

“The Taxpayer Fair at India International Trade Fair (IITF) seeks to promote an environment of trust between the ministry and taxpayers as well as to inform them of initiatives taken by the ministry in recent times,” he said. -he adds.

Various activities such as assistance for PAN / e-PAN application, Aadhaar-PAN liaison and PAN related queries, assistance for electronic filing and queries related to Form 26AS (tax credit) and Providing taxpayer information Brochures on various topics are available in both electronic and paper format at the Taxpayers’ Lounge.

Along with the President, members of the CBDT, the Senior Director General of Income Tax (Administration and Taxpayer Services), the Senior Chief Income Tax Commissioner (CCA), New Delhi and Other senior executives from the income tax department were present during the grand opening of the taxpayers’ fair.
