BTIG Fixed Income Credit Adds Peter Mullahey and Robert Williams to Strengthen Investment Grade Product


NEW YORK–(COMMERCIAL THREAD) –BTIG today announced that Peter Mullahey and Robert Williams have joined the Company’s Fixed Income Credit Unit as Managing Directors and Senior Specialists in Quality Sales and Trading. BTIG continues to expand its fixed income lending platform and now employs over 40 experienced lending professionals in the United States and London.

BTIG Investment Grade professionals specialize in secondary trading for the company’s global clients. Mr. Mullahey will focus on investment grade sales and business development, while Mr. Williams will hold a hybrid investment grade sales and trading role. they join Richard Roche, a General manager within the Fixed Income Credit division of BTIG, which the company hired earlier this year to develop the quality product offering. In their new roles within the firm, Mr. Mullahey and Mr. Williams will report to the Darren Haines and Michael Carley, Sr., Co-Head of Fixed Income Credit, at BTIG.

Mr. Mullahey has over 25 years of experience in retail sales and purchases, as well as in portfolio and product management. Prior to BTIG, he was Managing Director of Institutional Fixed Income at Seaport Global Holdings. Previously, Mr. Mullahey was Senior Vice President of Investment Product Development at Imperial Capital and Vice President and Investment Manager at Principal Trading at JPMorgan Chase. Earlier in his career, he was Head of Corporate Bonds in North America and Senior Portfolio Manager at GIC Asset Management.

Mr. Williams has nearly 25 years of experience in the trading, distribution and capital markets of investment grade corporate bonds. Prior to BTIG, he was Senior Vice President in Credit Trading at FHN Financial. Previously, Mr. Williams was Executive Director of Investment Grade Credit at Nomura Securities and Director of Investment Grade Credit Trading at RBC Capital Markets. Earlier in his career, he was Director and Senior Vice President in Investment Grade Credit Trading at RBS Securities, and Executive Director in Investment Grade Corporate Bond Trading, specializing in Finance at Mizuho. Securities USA. Mr. Williams was also Managing Director of Investment Grade Credit Trading at Bear Stearns and Vice President of Investment Grade Credit Sales at HSBC Securities.
