NEW YORK–(COMMERCIAL THREAD) –BTIG today announced the arrival of Ben Patch, a specialist in emerging market debt sales and trading, as Managing Director of the company’s fixed income credit division. Mr. Patch joins several recent recruits who will focus on selling and trading emerging market debt securities within the company. In his new role at BTIG, he will report directly to Michael Carley, Sr. and Darren Haines, co-head of BTIG Fixed Income Credit.

Mr. Patch has over 25 years of industry experience with roles in both the United States and London. Prior to BTIG, Mr. Patch was Director of Emerging Markets Fixed Income Sales at Deutsche Bank Securities, where he spent six years. Previously, he was a director at Emerging Market Fixed Income at both MUFG-Mitsubishi Securities and Seaport Group. Earlier in his career, Mr. Patch was Vice President of Emerging Market Fixed Income at MF Global and Managing Director and Head of Credit Operations for the Americas at ING Financial Markets. He held a similar position at American International Group, where he spent a decade. Mr. Patch began his career with a role in London at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette as well as Citibank, where he spent time in London and New York.
